This enterprise specializes in providing contract mining services for Vaal Reefs Gold Mine, encompassing tasks such as cleaning gold dust within mine shafts. Notably, Motsepe introduced an innovative worker remuneration system featuring a modest base salary coupled with a profit-sharing bonus.

In 2003, Patrice Motsepe founded Ubuntu-Botho Ventures (UBI) and subsequently engaged in a business partnership with Sanlam, an insurance and financial services firm, under a Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) framework in 2004. The decade-long transaction concluded in 2014, as UBI fully repaid the loan from Sanlam. As a result, UBI acquired a 13.5% stake in Sanlam while retaining an 18.1% voting share as its BEE partner.

In November 2020, the prominent businessman and philanthropist Patrice Motsepe declared his candidacy for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) presidency.
